Vertex VX-417 UHF (450-490MHz) Portable Radio

This is a Vertex UHF radio, model number VX-417-4-5. This is a 5 watt, 16 channel radio with a band split of 450-490 MHz. Radio is in great condition and guaranteed fully operational. Unit comes complete with antenna, battery, belt clip and charger. These units will do the new narrow band frequencies. Free programming is available.

Includes Voice Encryption for private communications and programmable key lock control to prevent inadvertent channel change or unwanted function changes, which may be important when the radio is concealed and subject to accidental pressure on the keys.

Also includes Stun/Kill/Revive capability to disable a lost or stolen radio -- mitigating any breach of security from unwanted listeners.

When Safety Counts

Includes built-in Emergency notification that will switch to a designated channel and send an emergency alert.

For enhanced worker safety, the Lone Worker mode is a built-in timer that requires the user to reset at a predetermined interval. If not reset, the radio automatically switches to Emergency mode to alert help.

Exclusive Auto-Range Transpond System (ARTS™)

Designed to inform the user when out of communication range with another ARTS™-equipped station. If out of range more than 2 minutes, the radio senses no signal and beeps to alert the user. The base station can then alert the field unit to move back into range. A great solution to keep your workers coordinated.

FCC Narrowbanding Compliant

Meets the FCC Part 90 requirement for using 12.5 kHz channels by January 1, 2013.
